WW2 Death Card of Fighter Pilot Hugo Huber

Hugo was born on December 18th 1922. During the war he was a fighter pilot with the I./JG 4. He piloted Bf 109G-6 “Black 2”. During his time in the Luftwaffe he was awarded the Fighter Operational Clasp. On May 7th 1944 His unit were flying over lake Bracciano in Italy when they encountered 12 Spitfires of No. 72 Squadron. 6 Bf 109s were shot down in the dogfight, one being Hugo. He did not survive. He is buried in the military cemetery in Pomezia.
