Do you have any info which is already 100% verified, to start with? We seem not to be sure what his exact surname was?
Also when we specify town/village, we need to provide a county. So was it Küstrin, Kreis Königsberg (Neumark), we are talking about?
I quickly browsed through address books of the above place and there was no surname Raehse in them, only one person was listed - Erich Rehse.

The great fortress city Küstrin east Germany on the Oder river now Poland the city where it's nothing left unlike the great berlin, Dresden and Hamburg well Küstrin wasn't so lucky, think many thousands of people won't be verified as not one building left, ground and dirt unlike the other city's, but would love to know the numbers if ever possible how many people could be or not be verified from Küstrin! few odd year's of phone and school records ect not much! his surname is not in any of them but one,had a whole family.. funny enough did come across that Erich Rehse who i need to check out because that is the only name come across yet i will speak to Andy Steinhauf who runs At least two website's the main guy on Küstrin 1945,reason for the two names he gave the British government Raehse and he told his son it was really Rehse and just said he's from Küstrin Germany on the oder not really knowing if he was born or just lived there for a while or based with military i just don't no, he said he lost his whole family, on one of the 2 marriage certificates i have so far 1967 i'm looking at now say's his dad was called Gustar Raehse Deceased a bricklayer,he had 3 brothers one died don't know what happened to the others and sister mother ect or don't know their names,i will try find out what year he come here and how he come here if Possible and any info regarding, the earliest date we have of him being here is 1948, any pictures he did have said was Snatched out of his hands and ripped up don't know by who or what country so makes me think all sorts ,Possibility he was Prisoner of war but he's not in the National Archives plus not all files are public yet and the Ministry of Defence only gave the National Archives like two hundred thousand records around that area can't remember The exact number but still left out around two hundred fifty thousand records Either kept secret or lost so i may never know don't know yet but i will try been only doing this 4 months it took from what read Andy Steinhauf 15 years to find out about his family finding 2 birth records in Two different registry offices and still can't find out about his last Relative who was Alive in the evacuation of Küstrin 1945 so it will take some time, plus could of lied about his name could be anyone it's madness lol,do make me think do they have the records of any of the soldiers from there because i have not seen one..he never went back to Germany after the war and lived in the south west of England i had my own room at his place we would watch the world at war documentary series ,the International German football team he liked Ballack and muller ect he also loved watching Michael Schumacher he was a proud German giving his son the middle name Heinz thanks for the Response help and stuff I appreciate it best regards.

just the back of the first pic the Earliest we have of him, also has a number on the back Don't know if that means anything, 1948 is the Earliest info i have of him being here Personally, don't know what the Government or Archives have yet it's a good Possibility i may get nothing , know pow's was let out from 1948 and my grandad seems to be wearing a black jacket Similar to those worn by German pow, have been in Contact with The Federal Military Archives got back to me within 3 week's say they have nothing but did tell me to get hold of Personal Federal Archives because they hold Military files as well and sounds like they hold a broad spectrum of information the bulk of it I am waiting to hear back from them.
