can some one translate this sign
Per John R. Angolia & David Littlejohn in Labor Organizations of the Reich (R. James Bender Publishing, 1999): “The Reichsnährstand (Reichs Food Establishment) was responsible for the agricultural production plan, marketing control, agricultural imports and price controls for Greater Germany. The Estate was divided into three main Departments—Man, Farm and Market. Subordinate was the Regional Farmers’ Association (Landesbauernschaft/Landwirtschaft) headed by a Landesbauernführer.” The Reichsnährstand was headed by Richard-Walther Darré. Again, from the book: “Darré was suspended from duty in May 1942 and finally dismissed in May 1944. He was replaced by SS-Obergruppenführer Herbert Backe.”
This sign features the emblem of the Reichsnährstand: a swastika with a gold wheat shaft at left and a gold sword at right. The motto “Blut and Boden” means “Blood and Soil.”
