collecting postcards

#1

I have recently purchased two postcards. Upon arrival, I will scan them and post. In the meantime, feel free to post any interesting postcards that you may have.

If the postcard has a stamp or written text on it, does it increase/decrease the value of the card? Or is it better to obtain one in unused condition?

Thank-you

It depends, just as with plain stamps.

If that post card had a wide circulation so that used ones are most easily
findable, then the uncirculated version of it is surely more valuable.
And of course it's true the converse.

I'm not a postcard collector, but I know that this is the rule.

After all, it all goes down to whether there's much more requests than
offers or viceversa. :)
