Hi wankez,
This is one Reserve-Division. The Division takes to part to the occupation of France with garrison in the region of Castres-Montauban-Tolouse-Auch (August 1943). To the end of 1943 the Division is on the French-Italian frontier. It fights in the South of France in the 19. Armee. It occupies of the positions on the Esterel (mountain) and one strikes against the arrival of the troops Americans in Italy. The 18 September 1944 becomes “I.D.” The Division is an unit of second order but that does not prevent to send it on the Italian front in October 1944. In November 1944 it is with the Armee-Korps Lombardia - 14. Armee - Heeresgruppe C - Ort Ligurische Küste; In December 1944/ January 1945 it is with the LI. Armee-Korps - 14. Armee - Heeresgruppe C - Ort Norditalien. It fights along the Coast of the Tyrrhenian one until 1945. The Division is destroyed on the Po River to South of the City of Cremona where it surrenders to the Americans troops. Excuse my English.

Just one correction: the 148. ID surrended to the 1st Brazilian Infantry Division.
