Help identifying signatures on Hauptamt SS-Gericht documents

#1

Post by lazybather » 11 May 2013, 08:10

Hello Gentleman,

Can anyone help me identify these two signatures belonging to officers from the Hauptamt SS-Gericht.

The writer was an SS-Hstuf. in September 1942 and in March 1944 he held the rank of SS-Stubaf.

He was assigned to the HA SS-Gericht, Amt IIa in Sept 1942, the HssG, Amt IIb in April 1943 and with the HssG, Amt Id & HssG, Personalabteiling in March 1944.

I've compared the signature to Robert Pape's and Heinz Meyer-Wolden's and it doesn't match.

Please click to enlarge.

I thought the second signature looked like Nuss, but he didn't obtain the rank of SS-Hstuf.

This is from the HA SS-Gericht, Amt II in July 3rd 1940;

This is also from the HA SS-Gericht, Amt II on July 19th 1941;

All guesses welcome.

Gentleman, the last signature was Alois Mayer.

If any has any suggestions for the others I'd be happy to hear them.

Stuart :)

With the first one what about Dr Rudolf Barth who was serving in Hauptamt SS-G by April-44 as an SS-Ostubaf? He was serving with the Totenkopf division in July 1941.
Or what about Dr Louis Baatz although there is no information listed for him after January 1943 when he was an SS-Hstuf. in SS-WVHA Amtsgr D III?
The first letter does look like how a 'B' could be signed as I have the signature of Martin Braune in a Soldbuch and the B doesn't look a million miles away from what is shown here.

Good morning Hucks216,

Forgive the late reply and thank you for the useful suggestions.

Here is is Dr. Barth's known signature for comparison, do you agree that they don't match?

I'll have another look at officers signatures whose name's begin with B and are in the rank range at these times, (I'm erring towards Bruns). 8-)

Before now I've never linked Dr. Louis Baatz with the HssG so I'll take a look at his BDC file and see what I find.

Thank you Hucks, a great help. 8-)

Stuart :) :)

Hello Stuart. Judging from the comparison signature I think you can rule out Barth.

Afternoon Hucks,

Yes I agree, very different.

I've checked Dr. jur. Bruns signature and this doesn't match either.

So still head scratching, but your suggestion to check names beginning with B is a good avenue of search. 8-)

Cheers again

Stuart :) :)

An up-date gents,

This Dr. Klahre's signature;

And this is certainly Robert Pape's signature;

I recently came into possession of Pape's post-war signature and it matched perfectly...

Thank you again for all the help.

Stuart. :-)
