Not strictly military, I know, but this extraordinary object should be of some interest to those of you who collect photographs of WW2 personalities.

In this case, Max Schmeling was enormously famous long before he found himself jumping on Crete in May 1941. This classic PR shot is dedicated and signed by Schmeling to his friend the General Manager of the prestigious Europa-Hof hotel in Berlin way back in 1929. Schmeling is still alive.

Very Interesting,
This picture reminds me. My father told me that he saw Schmelling fight when he was being held as a POW.
Thanks for sharing it, it's a good picture.
