Hitler signature; Hand signed or auto pen?

#1

Post by aml61884 » 17 Dec 2016, 03:54

Hey everyone,

I purchased a large grouping of documents from a dealer, mostly award docs from WWII to, all awarded to the same guy. Two of these had original Goering signatures, which was the main selling point of the grouping. There were also three Hitler signed award docs, all of which I figured were auto pen. One of these though is different than the other two, or any other Hitler autopen I have seen. The signature on this one is not consistent ink flow throughout the signature, and the ink actually appears to be sitting on top of the doc instead of being a part of the paper itself. I am attaching some magnified photos and hopefully someone can give me their opinion on this. Thanks.

It looks like a stamped variant.

Depends on the rank of this guy...real signature or Auto pen

It is the stamped variant - you can see the little white areas within the ink where the air bubbles were when the stamp was pressed down.

And if the Göring signatures look like this one then they are autopen.
