I got lucky! Really...one just doesn't see groups like this cropping up today. In this case, I was just in the right place at the right time. The only document missing is his EK2 certificate. He doubtless received the EK2 for Crete.

This group is special because Sturmabzeichen (GAB) and Ostmedaille to paratroopers are very, very rare. As rare as unicorn dung. Here is another document for the GAB to a paratrooper. This is even more special than Forkel's document!

SS-Rottenführer Schumann was awarded his GAB for the ferocious fighting on the Oder Front. A member of SS-Fallschirmjäger-Bataillon 600's Signals Platoon, he ended the war as SS-Unterscharführer with the EK2, CCC in Bronze and GAB. This document is especially nice because it is very detailed in terms of his unit and stamped with the unit stamp rather than the Feldpost number stamp.
