Hello everyone,
I’ve been looking for (digital) copies of the Völkischer Beobachter newspaper for quite some time now. I am aware of the Austrian versions online, but was wondering if the original Munich versions are available anywhere from 1923-1945, be it digitally online or available as microfilm anywhere.
Any pointers are greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Ostland

Re: Völkischer Beobachter 1923 - 1945?
Library of Congress claims to have all 1933-1945 issues of Berlin edition on microfilm from Germany - sn94049003
A bit strange as Bundesarchiv only lists 1920-1922, 1936-1938 issues of what looks like Munich edition in paper form, in its catalogue - BArch NS 26/1143. Obviously they have more than that, perhaps not catalogued as yet.
Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek has lot's of first pages digitized, but you can't really read any of it (it does not work for me anyway):

Moin ostland,
apart from the original issues, a good introduction to the subject still is the book "Facsimile Querschnitt - Völkischer Beobachter" from the year 1967.
Attached a picture from the 1980 edition.
Here a link to booklooker.de for the original edition from the year 1967. https://www.booklooker.de/Bücher/v-Noll ... gI2GvD_BwE
Another source would be the "Zeitungszeugen" edition, which is out of print today, but still available on the German book market, more or less complete.
Zeitungszeugen https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitungszeugen
A third source would be the reprint inserts of the booklet series "Das Dritte Reich" from the publisher John Jahr from the 1970s, but more about that later...
Hans
P.S. "Das Dritte Reich" with all supplements at that time, as well as all records published at that time, and also "Zeitungszeugen" with all poster reprints I own completely. Among them dozens of duplicate and triplicate issues, which I will be happy to dispose of at a later date.
