37310

(2.1.1940-27.4.1940) Armee-Bekleidungs-Park Kusel,
(28.4.1940-19.9.1940) gestrichen,
(1.10.1940-27.2.1941) Stab III u. 7.-8. Batterie Artillerie-Regiment 321,
(1.3.1942-7.9.1942) Stab III u. 7. 9. Batterie Artillerie-Regiment 321,
(23.4.1944-24.11.1944) 5.7.1944 Stab IV u. 10.-12. Batterie Artillerie-Regiment 268,
3.8.1944 gestrichen.

The 'b' indicates his Company/Battery, so for example he would be in 7 Batterie of Art.Rgt 321.

That Feldpost Number belongs to (28.4.1940-19.9.1940) Stab II u. 4.-6. Batterie Artillerie-Regiment 254.
There is some information on the unit here with information on it's parent unit at the links within the text...
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gli ... derung.htm

The 'C' indicates that he served in the 5th Battery.

Hi!
I have a letter dated 14 MAY 1941.
Cancellation says Dienstelle - Feldpost nummer 28337
Can anyone be so kind to tell me where was this Feldpost located during May 1941?
The one page letter is written in old German handwritting, and the soldier's name is very hard to read. I can post a good scanned image if someone can give me a hand for reading it.
Thanks in advance !
Best regards,
Guillermo, from Buenos Aires, Argentina

For the period around that time it was a RAD unit...

(28.4.1940-14.9.1940) RAD-Abteilung 5/330,
(25.9.1940-15.2.1941) gestrichen,
(16.2.1941-18.7.1941) RAD-Abteilung 5/330,
(10.2.1943-23.8.1943) RAD-Abteilung 10/223,

Thank you very much for your kind help.
Please let me check this information:
A RAD unit is a Reichsarbeitsdienst or Reich Labour Service, an auxiliary formation supporting the Wehrmacht.
A RAD-Abteilung means a RAD batallion?
gestrichen means closed?
And my last doubt is about the numbers 5/330 which I do not understand.
You help me a lot buddy, thanks again!

You are correct in your definition of what a RAD unit is. As for the numbers 5/330 that is the RAD unit designation in the same way as 3./JG 2 is the 3rd Staffel of Jagdgeschwader 2 in the Luftwaffe or II/Infantry Rgt 20 is the second battalion in that Infantry Rgt. I'm afraid RAD isn't an area I know alot about so I can't provide information on where it may of been located.

Gestrichen does mean closed so that this unit stopped using this Feldpost Number and either it wasn't used again or in this case reallocated again to the same unit, or to a different unit.

Hello,

I have a KM Mauser HsC pistol with holster inscribed in ink inside flap with what I think is a FP number 726449. Also a name of Mull(er?) (umlaut over u) and Waff. Insp.

I would like help determinging if the number is a FP number, seems one digit too long and what unit. And or help in determining who this person might have been based on little evidence above.
Thanks!
