Hi every one. Newbie to the Axis Forum here

I have recently purchased 3 Dog Tags I was hoping to get some help correctly identifying the units so I can find some photographs to display behind them? I'd also appreciate any opinions on authenticity!
The information as I know it is:

Tag 1 - Machine Gun Kompanie, 4th Infantry, Regiment 43 - Soldier I.D No.218
Tag 2 - 3rd Light Artillery, Replacement Battery No.22 - Soldier I.D No.1055
Tag 3 - Infantry Artillery Replacement Company 208 - Soldier I.D No.5691

So what you're saying is I posted in the wrong thread!?

But being a Newbie & having no idea what a "Field post No." was 2 days ago & also I knew next to 0 about Dog Tags or what all the Letters and Numbers meant! I can see how I was confused & posted in the wrong thread!

So I'll delete it! & Sorry!

But thanks for your help anyway :?

Hi I'm trying to confirm whether or not I have the correct Field post number for Inf Gun Replacement Kp 208? (I'm thinkings part of Infantry Replacement Regiment 208) I've been looking on Lexicon Der Wehrmacht and have (not very confidently) traced it back to Infinterie Regiment 208 - IG Company field Post No.33686!?

Just for completeness I've read

Tag 1 - Machine Gun Company 4 . Inf Reg 43 - Field Post No. 00134 - /from 1940 Fp No. 23650 E /from 1944 Fp No. 36378

Tag 2 - 3rd Light Gun Replacement Battery . A.R 22 - Field Post No.16242 /from 1940 Fp No.08424 D

I really am like a fish out of water! I have been trying my best to work it all out my self so not to bother any one but it kind of becomes just a large jumble of letters and numbers after a while :?

It is relating to the Dog Tags in the post, a couple of posts up! which at the time I posted in the wrong place because I didn't know what I was doing or my way around the site! Sorry again

(I said I was a Newbie)

Very big Thank you in advance.
