Hello,

Does anyone reconize this feldpost nummer? 13199

I have one letter from him (Lt. Hanns Pilz) from 1941 and another from 1944. I have the 1941 translated, roughly, and I am working on the 44 one. In the 41 he jokes about bringing a russian home for his kid! In 44 he is worried about his family, where they need to go, and if they have enough bread.

Regards,
Steve

There is a 3 volume book from Norbert Kannapin" Die deutsche Feldpostübersicht 1939-1945" with all known numbers and their allocations. Very expensive though. Most of the numbers were issued several times so you need an exact date to confirm any number.

FpNr. 13199 belonged to Wehrmachtbefehlshaber Ukraine, Kommandeur des Heeresstreifendienstes beim WehrmBefh Ukraine and Kdr des Heeresstreifendienstes für den Reiseverkehr Ukraine ( only with the add. letter H) . Starting 25.01.1943 the number was alloted to Aufklärungsabteilung 392 (kroatische).

29035 is 2. große Kraftwagenkolonne, Nachschubkolonnenabteilung 553 in Africa

If anybody needs informations about others numbers, I'll try to help.

The dates are from June 1942 - March 1943.

17892 at that time was alloted to 2nd Bataillon, PzGrenRgt 155, 90. leichte Afrikadivision. B would be 5.Kompanie, C 6. Kompanie.

Which date? The number was alloted 3 times, first Baubataillon 333 in the first weeks of the war, later III.Btl./InfRgt 506 until app. February 1943, then III. Btl./GrenRgt 505 from 03.01.1944, then II.Btl/GrenRgt 505 from 12.10.1944 to 16.05.1945.

16823 = I./Gren Rgt 680, E = 4.Kp, after 18.01.1944 the number was alloted to II./RgtsGru 680, E = 8.Kp until 02.09.1944

17609 = was alloted several times. I will need a date.
