German currency used during the Third Reich Era. It was worth much more than the 1920 era Deutsche Reichswahrun. It took a bushel basket if Marks to buy a steak in the Depression days right after WWI. Here is an example:

Micutzule, ia vezi si tu o mare raritate! 1200 LEI paper-money - Romanian occupation of Transnistria, 1941-1944. Acestea sunt rare pt. ca Rusnacii le-au ars in nebunie cand ne-au adus libertatea! Suma maxima pt. aceasta bancnota e de 1300$USD.

Numai bine :D ,

interesting pic, thank You al lot , and for Your friendly explane too.
This interesting note was issued from Inifex, (Institutol de Finantarie Externa)

""This issue bears unusual denominations because of the excange rate set by Germany,as follows.... ..... 1200 lei = 20 Reichsmark or 200 Rubles/Karbowanez""

Concern the range price international catalogue during 1995/96 say for extra fine quality $1350 and 675$ for fine quality and 225$ for good quality.
You ve the piece in your hand so you re the better judge concern the quality...in any case uncircolated is no mentioned from my bad general sources.

I add some general informations concern this very know land from Albert Pick sources...and cause my great historical knowledge i vent idea if they re correct or not.(I think in this forum is necessery this last poor very personal comment 8O )

Yes this banknote is quite scarce, mainly because the invading Soviet forces destroyed them at nearly 90%... I have only the 1200 LEI, the others are very scarce too. I know a Romanian dealer who is proposing me the entire bancnote set for some 3000$.

Just a little correction: Krause publications made several errors: It is INFINEX which means: INSTITUTUL DE FINANTARE EXTERNA.

Best regards, :D

This is the reverse:
