Re: Third Reich signatures.
Thanks Ian! I am still waiting for an unknown Generalleutnant signature from 1935....bloody mailman keeps me waiting...
The only hint I have is "Wehrkreis-Schimeisterschaften 1935". I thougt that this would fit Wehrkreis VII the best, because of the Alps?

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Post it after it arrives Nicholas and then we might have a better idea.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Thanks Ian. Any new signatures in your collection?
Re: Third Reich signatures.
Yes but not any Third Reich of any consequence Nicholas. However here are a couple which may be of interest. These signatures are from a condolence book on the death of Hitler. The signatories had all been moved to safety down near Bad Gastein as I recall.
Re: Third Reich signatures.
The signature of the one from the Thai Legation is Yong Pholabun.
He is mentioned in this thread... /viewtopic.php?t=223042

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Thanks for that Hucks . Well remembered!
That enabled me to find some stuff on the Thai Legation. Pholabun must have left almost immediately for Bad Gastein after seeing Hitler.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Very nice international signatures, Ian !
Re: Third Reich signatures.
Thank you Nicholas. Now I have had those signatures for many years and when you mentioned posting some signatures it was just a random choice. However Hucks then remembered the name of Pholabun from another post. That was very useful so I decided to see what I could find out about him. So I came across some documents in Fold 3 (Archive) which gave some interesting material on the Thai Legation leaving Berlin. I then decided I might try to find some more documents concerning the other legations who had been staying in Bad Gastein at the end of the war. Well I did find some and they allowed me to identify several of the other signatories. I am now reposting those two pages so you can see what I mean. So a casual remark from you, a random choice fom me and a memory jogger from Hucks has all conspired to answer a few more of history's jigsaw puzzle! THanks to you both.
Re: Third Reich signatures.
I'm not sure if I have posted this before. Perhaps I have but I am going to put it up again to see if anybody can identify the signatures I haven't been able to. I'll leave it for a while and then I will post what I have so in the meantime if you know (or think you know) who they are please refer to them by their number. Some really interesting characters here and a very early Hitler signature too. Good luck.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Wow!
I have access to a partial list of attendees, but it's not easy to match some names to signatures... There were close to 350 people there...
I got easy ones...
3. Hans Knirsch - delegate from Dux / Duchcov
5. Ing.R.Jung - Engineer Rudolf Jung, delegate from Troppau / Opava
8. Brunner - Engineer Alfred Brunner - delegate from Düsseldorf
11. Unser Staatsparteitag 7-8-9.Aug.20 A.Hitler - delegate from München
BTW They spelled Nr.11 as "Hittler" or "Hüttler" !
So these are only confirmations of those who you already know.
Nr.10 could be Herr Schöll - delegate from Württembergische Arbeiterpartei, no first name provided...
I could be mistaken, but to me it looks like Nr.9 is not a separate signature, but part of Nr.7 - Dr.Riehl - DNSAP delegate from Wien
Could be a coincidence, but I noticed those signatures seem to be of those who actually spoke at the event.

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Hi Greg
I agree with all those. Nobody else playing at the moment.
I can tell you that 4, 9, 10 remain unidentified. I have two possibles for 1 and 2.
I am pretty sure I have identified 6 and 7.
Any more guesses?

Re: Third Reich signatures.
Hi Greg
OK. The two possibles for 1 and 2 are Max Sesselmann and Heinrich Kraeger
7, I agree, is Dr.Walter Riehl
6 I think that is Ferdinand Burchofsky
You could be right about 9 but I think it is too far down for that to be the case.
10. Well that's a tricky one too. Not sure I can make that Schoell at the moment.
4 has got what looks like an 'ig' or 'ige'in the middle of it.
Good point about the speakers . Do you have a list Greg?
Regards
