Post by sylvieK4 » 06 Oct 2002 20:14

I found this one at an online auction.

Do you have any funny Third Reich-period photos to share?

Just goes to show that the Germans of the Third Reich did actually have a sense of humour.

Hitler's/Himmler's checklist...

Totenkopf... CHECK!
Jackboots...CHECK!
Black Uniform...CHECK!
Childishly innocent smile, baby face, white bench complete w/ heart shaped cutout, and toddler's toy carriage...WHAT?!?!?! That's not supposed to be there.

It's like Shirley Temple took the day off and Hans was the only one the movie studio could find to replace her on such short notice.

LOL at the knife-in-mouth photo

What kind of knife is that in his mouth? Is it a bayonet?

The sign is the funny part of this one. (No, I don't know where this was taken ... I bought it at a flea market in Fulda.)
