Which WWII Operation/Battle needs a movie?

Is there a particularly cinematic battle or offensive etc that should have a WWII movie made out of it, but hasn’t gotten the Hollywood treatment yet? Or better yet, has gotten a movie but it didn’t do it justice?

I’ve always thought Anzio should get a remake, not a fan of the movie that was made in the 60’s.

Most all movies of ww2 needs a remake to realism. TYhe Battle of The Bulge comes into mind Pearl, Even The Great Escape could use a non fluff remake.

Battle of the Bismarck Sea

A Japanese convoy, hours away from its destination, is massacred by a force of experimental allied aircraft, specially modified for low-altitude antiship operations.

I don't know if we've ever had a real thorough Battle of the Bulge movie.

A sister movie to Der Untergang showing the Battle of Berlin from early April onwards until the city's capitulation. But from the view of ordinary German soldiers and civilians.

No scenes of Hitler or events in the Fuhrerbunker. They would just be unecessary distractions and, besides, the tale has already been told numerous times.

The team behind the Generation War or Charite at War] TV miniseries could do a good job on this. Such a project is long overdue.

As dramatic as that would be, I’d imagine you’d have to include it in a larger movie about the Arctic convoys; which would also include the PQ convoys (esp 17) and the Battle of the Barents Sea, maybe the sinking of HMS Edinburgh too.

Another one coming to mind: a modern remake of A Bridge Too Far, albeit the source movie is more recent than some cases and is actually quite good. But with modern technology and more war time equipment (actual Pz IVs and Panthers, for example) it would be a stunner.

I would prefer a feature film about the Volkssturm, the burnt-out Hitler Youth, and the last wave, but there will probably never be such a feature film never.

"The Last Battle at the Küstenkanal" would be a designation for all this, with a a camera pan over the graves of the soldiers and children who fell there.
When you see these burial grounds today, it makes you sick, you puke, a waste of life for nothing.

P.S. You can still find bones and the remains of weapons and ammunition there today, the region is a "hotspot" for detectorists, it's pretty pathetic.

Movie makers never conflate events, so I guess it's a non-starter.
