What do you think of Day of Defeat, this mod of HL is really cool and fun to play thinking you are in WWII

Apart from the large number of cheats , i love day of defeat
sadly i cant play it any more as my hands are wrecked with arthritis and its now too painful to even try and play a game like that anymore

But i always had great fun playing it, win or lose.

I just wish that it had really big maps, and proper missions instead of just kill kill kill.

When I was in a Delta Force 1 squad years ago we often used to set up stealth missions etc
great fun and more satisfying than just death match.

Absolutely Fabulous game! I've played it sonce ver 1.0 back in 2000 (or was it 1999), sure the cheating has become increasingly problematic but the game is addictive...very addictive. Cant wait for version 4.0 when there will be British troops to complement the Yanks and the Heer.

Ive just downlaoded DOD 3.1 , i have counter strike and Half life. my CS is patched to ver. 1.5 and my HL is not patched at all.

but i cannot seem to g et DOD to work i go into the game click multiplayer and i update the server list and it shows the servers cycling and downlaoding (something liek 1,000 servers) and after its done No servers pop up so i can play?

anyone know what im doing wrong?

I also love DoD!It's the best MP WW2 game ever!The game is very realistic.You can choose many WW2 weapons.And in DoD 4.0 you will be able to play as British troops eiter.With Sten and Bren,Enfield ect...
