Yes, von thoma!
Both are based on Geoffrey Household’s 1939 novel “Rouge Male”. Back in 2016 it was rumoured that Benedict Cumberbatch was to produce and star in a new adaption of the novel but I never heard of it being made or shown.

Nice riddle,

btw. the german actress Dame Barbara Rütting performed as Hanna Reitsch in the 1965 movie "Operation Crossbow".

Barbara Rütting passed away on march 28th, 2020, at the age of 92 years.

May she rest in peace

P.S. Named as "Manned V1" above, was a "Reichenberg-Gerät".

My go.

Which senior distinguished German military veteran advised Hollywood for a fictional version of the battle in which he made the biggest advance?

For sure,

Herr Hans Christian Blech, performing as "Major Pluskat" in the movie "The Longest Day", (1962)

"Sie kommen direkt auf mich zu..!"
"They are coming, right over me!!!"

Maybe, but not exactly my opinion of an advance.

Is this still running?

Here's one that looks like just a bunch of random WW2 names but there is a recurring link between each of the two men in each line.

Not as hard as it might appear to be because of you guess one correctly then you have the whole set...

Bletchley Park experience not needed.

1. General Heinz Guderian and General Hans Krebs

2. Grand Admiral Erich Raeder and Field Marshal Erich von Manstein

3. Foreign Minister Count Galeazzo Ciano and Colonel Graf von Stauffenberg

There are more examples but this would make it too easy.

All the above are completely separate, yet they are all linked together. If you can guess just one and make the connection then you have the answer to the trilogy.

Hats on. Detectives go... :milwink:

Meinrad von Lauchert of the 2nd Panzerdivision was the military advisor for Ken Annakin's movie "Battle of the Bulge (1965 ) about the Ardennes offensive 1944.
