Well this this ,as others says, one of the best (THE BEST?) flight simulator, although the number of planes piloted is too short.
I prefer make the German campaign coz of Me 109.

I'm quite content with the number of flyable planes, but I wouldn't turn down a few extra. :) My beef is with the offline campaign; it plain sucks! Stashoy's Campaign Generator has made it better, but it still needs improvement IMO.

The stock campaign that comes with the game. Starshoy's campaign generator is more fun, but the offline campaign could do with some touching up.

I'm just at the end of the German campaign(26 april 1945) and i'm very happy until here! The best regrets is that your army lose although you hit hundreds of targets! (i'm now at 209 aerial victories and 193 grounds objects destroyed).
I prefer the Me109 with 2 Mk 108 (3x30mm with nose)

Well the Me109 with 2 Mk108 seems to have a really bad maneuvrability.
How many percent of total maneuvrability the Mk108 under the wings put off,do u think?

Online IL2 can't be beat, 'cause of the number of players, the choice of skins etc.

Offline, IL2 is woeful. No skins, no mods, scripted campaign etc.

And it runs like a dog for a hell of a lot of people.

If you wan't the best offline flight sim experience ever, no question, play European Air War. And it's like $9.95 US to buy.

There are literally hundreds of different aircraft available, from all theatres of World War 2, plenty of mods, terrains packs for all seasons, new sound packs, anything you could possibly want. And best part, all of these additions are all free!!

Anything you could possibly want in a flight sim, EAW will give you. There's even jets like the AR234, TA183, GO229, and other aircraft such as the DO335!

If you want to know more, come here:

http://www.simhq.com/cgi-bin/boards/cgi ... &SUBMIT=Go

to the EAW forum at SimHQ.com. Everyone is freindly and will help you with anything you want/need.
