To use Mortar refer to To Hit Table/Area Target Type/Range to find Mortar To Hit # for Range is this case is 7/Range is from Mortar Hex at 0 to Target/ The Russian Player targets the PSW 222 Next to Pond Hex/ and Declares Defensive Fire To Hit in Current Hex/PSW must Wait for until the Russian Fire is resolved/The PSW Target is Small Target+1/Moving Target +2/The Russian Player checks the To Hit # on Chart and Range to find the To Hit # required per Area Target Type # is 7 at current Range. The PSW +1 Small Target and + 2 Moving Modifiers are added to Russian Player To Hit DR/ if the DR and Modifiers exceed the To Hit # Listed on Chart it is a Miss/ if a Hit is Scored /there is a -1 Open Top and -1 Armor Factor Modifier that is applied to IFT result for Indirect Fire

Turn One: German Move : To avoid the Hedge Hex Sides that are Wire , PSW 222 Enter via Road Hex to Open Ground /Grain is Brush Hexes, Check Terrain Chart For Movement Points Cost Per Hex Entered/Vehicles must Expend all Movement Points each Move. PSW 222 have 33 MP. MP must be carefully calculated prior to moving to reach a New Hex to Stop , in the situation shown all MP have been Expended to Stop in Hexes Shown. Russian :Guns on Hill May Change Guns Covered Arc to Fire in any Direction, vs German Vehicles per MP Expended in Each Hex, ex: Armor Cars expend 3 MP Per Open Ground Cost/Russian 76 ART p obr 02 Could Change Covered Arc to bring moving Vehicle within Covered Arc if Vehicle is outside Covered Arc/Cover Arc Change 1 Hex vertex per MP/or conduct To Hit Defensive Fire/ per MP Expended if Gun Maintains ROF/ CE/Open Top Vehicles on Road expend 1/2 Move Point per Road Hex. there fore can move Two Road Hexes = 1 MP before any action such as Change Covered Arc, or declaring Defensive Fire To Hit
