Location: Seelow Heights
Situation: German and Russian Forces trading heavy blows , over the Heights. The German Command believed the Russians would be stopped Seelow
buying time for a large scale German Counteroffensive to be staged. German MG Teams with 88 Flak Guns ,whittled down by near constant Soviet Fire,fired non stop at the Russian Troops and Tanks advancing toward the Heights, preparing to drive over or around remaining German Positions.
Alarmed at this possibility, German Volksturm and Scratch Formations were ordered to immediately counterattack
