Axis Country Comic Books?
Axis Country Comic Books?
Comic Books have for many years been (and continue to be) a part of USA pop culture, especially among young males.
not surprisingly there were many WWII themed comics, from the straightforward adventure (Sgt Rock e.g.), humorous (Sad Sack) and fantastic (dinosaurs! usually in remote Pacific islands.)
were there such media in WWII? and later? perhaps comic books are mostly USA.
I wonder if there are WWII Japanese manga.

An interesting topic. There is a lot of interesting material in the Calvin German Propaganda Archive here https://research.calvin.edu/german-prop ... tm#Posters
The Nazis don't seemed to have liked comic books much. They knew about them because the SS In house magazine did a critique of a Superman comic
https://research.calvin.edu/german-prop ... perman.htm Stereotypically they whinged about the lack of accuracy in the German uniforms and how the Germans would never say "Himmel".
Here is what they were complaining about https://www.cbr.com/comic-book-urban-le ... vealed-65/
The Germans used cartoons for instructional purposes in Tiger and Panther Fibel - but these were exceptional.
