Situation: Diplomatic efforts to conclude an agreement with China were proving unsatisfactory. Japanese Military Commanders decided to take
matters into their own hands, to force China to accept the peace Terms, by sealing off all Border Points of entry, to cut off any shipments to China from abroad. Langson was one of these Points.
