FdW member Johann Heinrich mentioned two documentaries lately:
Claus Günther - "Wir fühlten uns stark"

Wilhelm Simonsohn - "Leben im freien Fall"

Unfortunately I could only watch the documentary about Claus Günther yesterday, maybe both films are interesting for some of you.
Mr. Günther has also written several books about his experiences:
"Heile, heile Hitler: Szenen einer Kindheit"

Re: Zeuge der Zeit / Witness of the time (Two german documentaries)
Out of a very understandable "self-protection", most memories bounce off most people, understandably.
The shootings of so-called "partisans" by RAD units at that time are mostly unknown today, but they took place.
My grandmother recalled, that her husband Hans never got over it, and carried it with him to the end.
Only my grandma talked about all this, decades later, after the death of her husband.
There was no German innocence, it was war, everywhere, without mercy.
