Situation: War Plan Orange for U S Forces in the Philippines was to stop any invasion by Japanese Forces on the Beaches. After Japanese landings, War Plan Orange was Modified for all U S Forces to begin retrograde Operations
into Bataan. Once this was accomplished, then hold out long as possible. The Japanese considered the battle won with only mop up operations to be carried out.
