Volker Lechtenbrink (* August 18, 1944 in Cranz, East Prussia; † November 22, 2021 in Hamburg) was a German actor, voice actor, director, artistic director, lyricist and country and pop singer. He became internationally known in 1959 for the anti-war film Die Brücke.

Herr Volker Lechtenbrink passed away yesterday, a good man, "Hamburger Jung", at 77 years of age.

May he rest in peace
I was standing at the butcher's counter in the supermarket, three older ladies gave me way, they said, "We just want to hear how Mr. Lechtenbrink orders!" The ladies wanted to hear my voice.
(Lechtenbrink in a late TV interview, smiling... :) )

Lechtenbrink was known to the German audience, not least for his deep and very incisive voice.
