Grayish and greenish
This was the photo I was referring in my above post.

The greenish look made Muller's brown shirt look incongruous.

Dear people, these are really unimportant details, whether the uniform was gray or grey-green, the shirt brown or white.

Those are bean counter details, the participants decided the final annihilation of the Jews, all of them.

Self-absorbed Nazis decided the end of millions of people with just a signature.

Is not this enough...

Hans ;

In these conference films, many people pay more attention to other details than to the content itself.

There are more examples on the Forum see ' Conspiracy ' thread.
After all, there are many doubts as to how exactly the conference took place.
Did they really hit the table, as can be seen in ' Conspiracy ' and in the German version ?
Did they really wear uniforms, or did they all wear civilian clothes ?
Did they really eat and drink ?

It also happened in movies like ' Der Untergang ' or ' Valkyrie '

2001 "Conspiracy" is a very good film however is probably lacking in historical accuracy. A lot of good British actors are in it, and the screenplay is tight and clever, and written mainly to entertain/provoke rather than inform. It is rather shakespearean in style, and not surpringly Kenneth Branagh is Heydrich.

There is also a German film from 1984 about the conference.
Well-said about the English version. I've watched it many times. It was indeed made to entertain/provoke and succeeds in that. They failed in portraying Germans though; they look like Brits/Americans regardless of the Nazi costumes and subject. Nevertheless - a very good movie.

The 1984 German movie is less dramatic but more realistic - and is equally watchable. Emotionless, efficient, with a bit of chit-chatting between work to reduce pressure. No arguing or drama - just a bunch of like-minded (obedient) people, respecting hierarchy and doing their "jobs".

The 2022 German version, however, is unwatchable. I turned it off after 18 minutes. I would have done it sooner but I was too tired to move. Repulsively unconvincing. Bad choice of actors, bad directing. Like I was watching one of those horrendous, low-budget reenactor videos.

Cheers,
Ivan
