Situation: Iwo Jima, a smoldering cinder of an Island in the Pacific was now considered great in terms of Military Strategic Value because of the
Airfields constructed by the Japanese. The U S Pacific Command with resources to spend on Airfield Islands was prepared to spend 3 U S Marine Divisions to take Iwo Jima.
Victory: Board 9 Hex EE 4 Board 58 Hex U 4/Both of these Hexes are Observer hexes for OBA

Aftermath: After Landing U S Marines objectives were Mt Suribachi to the West and Motoyama Plateau to North East . Marines would have to move across Open Ground while Under FIre.

Board 9 Mt Suribachi Arrow Points to Observer Victory Hex/Observer is immune to all fire into Hex /eliminated when Control is lost by opposing
Infantry Unit alone in that Hex
