April 1945. 139 prominent special and clan prisoners of the SS are deported to the Alps. The prisoners could serve as a bargaining chip in negotiations with the Allies. On the journey they experience six days between death and freedom, their fate in the hands of increasingly nervous criminals. But the hostages turn the tide with a clever trick: they call on the Wehrmacht for help...
