Smoke Rules Review:
Caves
1. Mortars indirect Fire cannot place Smoke inside Cave
a. Mortars can Place Smoke in Hex where there is a Cave, the Smoke is considered on Top of Cave , and DOES NOT
effect Line of Sight Line of Fire for Defending Unit inside Cave
2. Mortars indirect Fire can Place WP INSIDE Cave only on Critical Hit TO Hit DR of 2
a. Cave MUST be in Line of Sight of Firing Unit and Cave must be predesignated as Target
3. Direct Fire AFV Shermans May attempt to Place WP/Smoke inside Cave , must use Infantry Target Type
Predesignate Cave as Target have Cave in Line of SIght.
a. Using Infantry Target Type does not get the + 2 Smoke To Hit # Modifier added for Area Target Type
b. The Cave TEM of + 4 is added to the To Hit DR #, and any other modifiers such as Buttoned Up +1 ETC
EX: BU Sherman Firing WP at Cave, as Target, 6 Hexes Away, To Hit DR 5/ color dr 1/white dr 4
plus 4 TEM /plus 1 BU makes Final To Hit 10 result Miss/ Original To Hit # 8 Infantry Target Type
