An older french docu from the year 2017.
The assassination of Tsar Nicholas II and his family in July 1918 spelled the end of the Romanov dynasty and thus of tsarist rule in Russia. A great triumph for the Bolshevik revolution. In his diary, which became a bestseller a few years later, Pierre Gillard, tutor to the children of the tsars, described the events at the Russian court.

Semi-documentary film about the murder of the Russian royal family, written by the family's children's teacher, well worth seeing.
