Band of Brothers (2001) soundtrack

#1

[Several threads dealing with "Band of Brothers" soundtrack have been merged by the music section host, Ivan Ž.]

I don't know if this topic perfectly fits into this category, but better than in the others, I suppose.
I got my amazon delivery today and with it the soundtrack of Band of Brothers. I watched the series a week ago and was very impressed by the musical score. So I had no other chance than to get my fingers on this CD. Worth every cent! I love it. Listening to it the second time already :)

What do you personally think about it?

What's your favourite track? Mine are 1-3 (Main theme & BoB Suite 1/2) and 20 (BoB Requiem)

All the best
Florian

i have OST of saving private ryan.i dont have the OST of BoB.i watched all episodes of BoB for about 5 or 6 times each.in 4th or 5th watching i focused on the details and music also.i think the music in BoB is a little bit better than the music in SPR.and i think that is because of Michael Kamen who composed the music in BoB.

I just love the song the germans are playing on the violin in episode 7 i think, I would buy it just to hear that, I crank up my 5.1 surround sound and just listen to that opening of that episode over and over again, infact im going to turn it on right now :D

Beethoven from Band of Brothers 9

#11

Post by wlvanbesien » 14 Nov 2004, 20:27

In Band of Brothers episode 9, I believe, the men of easy company are sitting on the second story of a bombed house. Below them are german civilians who are cleaning up and scavenging the ruins from a bombing raid. A few old german men are playing a piece of Beethoven's music. Does anyone know what the title of the piece they were playing is called?

Thanks

Beethoven's String Quartet in C-Sharp Minor (Opus 131)

I got it off Soulseek a few months ago. Very somber piece.

It is:

String Quartet No. 14 in C Sharp Minor, Op. 131: VI. Adagio quasi un poco andante

Beautiful piece I have to say...

The "What a hell of a way to die" one? I don't know the name either, but I love it how Nixon "sings" it.
