Have any actual WW2 German officers acted in any post-WW2 films? English or Ger.language. Wonder how they would compare vs. actors if any have.

German comedian, humorist and actor Vicco von Bülow, best known as Loriot served as an Oberleutnant of Panzergrenadierregiment 3 in the 3rd Panzer Division at the eastern front. Postwar he had a supporting role in Bernhard Wicki's The Bridge (as Stabsfeldwebel Zeisler) and a minor role in The Longest Day.

Hardy Krüger and Klaus Kinski were ex-combatants who acted later in the war movies.
But none of them held officer rank

A book on BESATZUNG DORA (1943, banned) - THE MAKING OF THE CREW OF THE DORA -- was published in 2016 and is still in print. It is 298 pages long, using film director Karl Ritter's personal, heretofore unpublished, diaries to tell the story of the filming of DORA. It has 90 B&W mostly unknown photos, maps and sketches; and includes a fascinating account of the month of October 1942 when Ritter and a crew and cast of 43 men lived and filmed at the Fliegerhorst Gostkino, south of the Battle of Leningrad, with Long-Range Reconnaissance squadrons used in the movie.
