Wolfenstein....remember that??

I have the new Wolf, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. A great game.

It has the absolute BEST multiplayer of any WW2 infantry game.
Its all team vs team, and instaed of random killing, all maps have mission objectives. I love this game.

The Single player is a fantasy game, with Evil Nazi Zombies and silly stuff like that, but the Multiplayer is great.

Medal of Honour: Allied Assault is the opposite; better singleplayer, but the multiplayer lacks.

And both are better than Day of Defeat.

Get RTCW, you wont be disapointed. *note* you pretty much need broadband to play multiplayer.

The return to the castle wolfenstein is amazing multiplayer game, after CS and Unreal it is my thrid favorite for playin online. The single player is OK,but not outstanding, becuase story is kinda dull from my opinion, however I veiw SP mission as a bonus to the amazing and realistic multiplayer - my fav. map there is Beach landing, I just love to take out advancing allies with artilery strike, having 4-5 "You killed ....." signs - it brings worm, cozy feeling to my heart

I had played the original Wolf to death almost 10 years ago - I still love it.

As for the new Wolf, I haven't tried the multiplayer but I liked the single player. The story feels like a comedy, but the gameplay is entertaining.

MOH:AA is of course much better, especially the graphics. The only thing that bothered me is the abscense of blood and violence - something vital for a FPS IMO.

I hope they release new Shooters set in WWII soon.

I haven't played RTCW, but I agree - MOHAA is great, except for the lack of blood - how come the people are so dusty when you hit them? ;)

Also, the games runs very slow - I'm going to buy 128meg of ram more...

There are several cool blood mods available at the many MOH support sites. They are easy to install, you just extract them into your main folder and voila! There are also realism mods for those who don't like shooting someone 5 times and not have them die.

There was an excellent site called the modding theatre that had hundreds of downloads but it closed down, which is a shame. Haven't found a site that good since. Hope these help.

Wolfenstein (new/old) is an amazing game, played the Multiplayer, excellent. But, DOD is better, I know its dated, but the playability is unrivaled, I've been addicted since Ver. 1.0

calling airstrikes

Post by kobold » 21 Aug 2002, 12:36

was it return to castlewolfenstien multiplayer you can call in airtsrikes if you are the german team?

I remember playing a railway yard map and was playing the german side alone, against two friends on the allied team, when I saw one of them crepeing around below me (I was up on a hillside).
I threw a grenade and nothing seemed to happen then all of a sudden a bomber flew across and bombed the crap out oif him hehe I was well impressed.
They thought i was cheating in someway LOL
