There was an original Sherman in Windtalkers and maybe even a Stewart.

In "The Keep" a horror movie in which a German unit is sent to Guard a Castle & nearby Jugoslavian village there appears a Demag D7 or maybe a Bussing-NAG BN9 (5 ton) towing a Pak-38....it is raining in the scene & hard to tell maybe someone else can identify which model it is....

In the movie SPR 1 of the "Marders" is a Panerjager 38(t) mit 7.5cm PaK40/3 Ausf M (Sd Kfz 138)

The other vehicle appears to be a Post war (Swedish) Stormartilleri M/43, initially these vehicles were armed with a 75mm gun but later versions were upgunned with a Bofors 105mm & based on the TNHP chassis
(i have a photo of 1 if anyone is interested)

Maybe 1 of the Forums Jugoslavian members can help me with the Title of a Movie made in the early 1950's
The Movie followed a Group of Jugoslavian Partisans in their fight against the Germans.....in the last 5 minutes of the Movie 5 "Mock" Tigers appear, These Tanks i am sure are the same Vehicles as used in Kelly's Heros & SPR.....The Story of these 5 "Tigers" must be an interesting one in it self...

"Steel Tempest"
A movie made with the assistance of some Reenactors from the 2nd Battle group (not to pay any disrespect to this group)
The movie was made on a very small Budget, Photography & Visual effects are very laking, the movie fails to live up to it's claim on the back cover......They tried their best but unfortunately this move...
*Sucks like no other movie has Sucked before!*.....
Only good thing i can say about it is that the 2 German PanzerJagers featured in SPR & Band of Brothers are in this movie & also a Panzer IV/70(V) (Sd Kfz 162/1) Lang which is partly shown driving in Reverse...1 assumes because the gear box was in a non funtional state in it's forward gears at the Time....i own a private Video from Belltring which shows the Pz IV/70(V) in Full Running order now

Hello everybody,

thats my first message. I've found a foto at http://www.battlefield.ru/t44.html showing a Soviet T-44 used in two movies as a German Tiger I. Perhaps they used it in SPR again?

bye, Gunner[/url]

I don't beleive this is the vehicle that was in "Kelly's Heros" as the Road wheels are undressed in that movie & clearly showing it's origin of a T-34, As for the T-44 being in Saving Private Ryan??? (a possabiliy) but my money is on the Tiger/T-34 from "kelly's Heros" also appearing in Saving Private Ryan....

The wife watched this on Saturday, i wasn't paying much attention (painting Karstjager HMG unit) but i watched the battle at the end. It appeared to have a Hetzer and an SD251 with a Pak 40 on it.
Anyone know if they are genuine. Also is there any authenticity in the story.

The film "Dunkirk" starring John Mills has an SdKfz 7 sat behind a "German" Humber armoured car when they blow up the bridge early in the film.It also has a brilliant bit showing a Stuka attack on a British 25pdr gun battery.Old wartime footage of Stukas, but it looks great.Quality movie.

I have seen a film (can't remember the name of it  )starring Clark Gable and Victor Mature. The story was crap but part of the film includes a Siebel communications plane,as used by the Luftwaffe during the war.The Siebel looked nice.

The tanks used in Kelly's Heroes are clearly not the same ones in Saving Private Ryan; there have been a number of articles on line and off about the vehicles in both movies. The ones in SPR were superior to the ones in KH by virtue of the fact they were more in scale.

How do they burn vehicles? Do they use life size models? I saw this scene in Band of Brothers where this halftrack was blown up by a Cromwell or Sherman (can't remember), and it was burning.

The answer to the burning question is simple; they don't.

It's a matter of perspective. Put a drum of burning liquid inside a halftrack, or in a shallow pan on the back of a tank, and shoot from an angle that makes it look like the vehicle is on fire.

As for equipment in STALINGRAD - the halftracks were unmodified postwar Czech Tatras; the pistol ports on the side give them away. There were some good shots of infantry equipment like signal cable reels, though. The uniforms were a mix of very good and awful.
