Re: Game: guess from which war/historical movie is the picture?
Is this a must-see movie, probably not...?
The actor in the middle of the very mean Nazis, probably Mr. Ward Bond, former buddy of Mr. John Wayne...
(I remember his face from the classic "Three Godfathers"...)
Oha ? (Difficult..?)
Hans1906
* Classic Western movies I am into deep, this time, no, sorry..?

Re: Game: guess from which war/historical movie is the picture?
OK, no new riddle from Mark, I will post a new riddle...
Hint, a b/w movie, one of the first war movies, I have watched on german TV in the 1960s, a good one, excellent actors, well known:
Hans1906
P.S. A quote from a german movie website: "Exposes the futility of war".

Re: Game: guess from which war/historical movie is the picture?
Men In War a late 50's showcase foir Ryan and cast.
Re: Game: guess from which war/historical movie is the picture?
Mark is absolutely right!
Men in War / Tag ohne Ende (1957)
"Anti-war drama about the now almost forgotten Korean War (1950-1954).
In the hell of the Korean War, two U.S. soldiers with different missions meet: Lieutenant Benson (Robert Ryan) wants to rush to the aid of his scattered unit with ammunition, while Sergeant Montana (Aldo Ray) must bring his psychologically demoralized colonel to safety. Benson captures Montana's jeep and forces him to fight his way to the troops together... Western specialist Anthony Mann ("Winchester 73") succeeded in making one of the great anti-war films, gripping and unpathetic. The simple soldier is only cannon fodder, the highest-ranking officer half-mad."
Link: https://www.cinema.de/film/tag-ohne-ende,90360.html
One of the best anti-war films from the 1950s, disturbing, dirty, merciless, a masterpiece even today. The small squad of actors of the time excellent, great cinema, highly recommended.
Tonight once again in the german TV.

* Before I forget, it's Mark's turn again....

Thanks, I‘ll take the challenge with this image and a bit of subtitle too, just to make it easy.
