Difficult, but given the profile picture of the man in the photo posted above, could it be the actor in this 1960s german TV commercial ?
Werbung der 60er - Puschkin - Für harte Männer / Advertising of the 60s - Pushkin - For tough men
In the 1960s, a well-known advertising figure for Russian vodka on German television.
The then actor in a "James Bond" manner was not a German actor, his name is on the tip of my tongue...
(In most of the commercials, the actor was "traveling" with a polar bear, incredibly impressive to us kids.)
Let's hope, the man didn't finish himself off on his Russian "Gesöff", please, like the very famous "Marlboro Cowboy" in later years.
About the asked movie, still not the slightest idea ?

P.S. It is still unbelievable today, with what kind of bullshit we were overwhelmed with in our young years back then, something like that would be unthinkable today.

The paradise of the successful lends itself perfectly to a hell for the unsuccessful. (Bertold Brecht on Hollywood)
Agreed>lol But have not watched a new war -military themed flick since this one.Did watch one last evening but I and others have posted a riddle about it many times before. 12 O Clock High was on TCM and set it on backgroud viewing.
Just a little hint; A man sits in his bed, with a piece of bread the man just spoons the yolk out of a boiled breakfast egg, total decadence....
He internalizes, so to speak, only the true essence of the egg, the true inner...
One of the important key scenes in this film, which was full of symbols and messages.
