Well, Finished this one and I cant watch these types for awhile. These German made movies are tough to watch, harsh, brutal and they seem to be a No holds barred* honest.. Watched another one at the same time. The Priest of Auschwitz, but could not finish it..

Mark,

"No holds barred" translates as "relentless", (G: "unerbittlich / schonungslos") , and you are very certainly right about that.

Back to your question; Warsaw Ghetto, the visible actors on your photo, unfortunately not apparent to me.
99% sure, not a german movie.

This should be very easy. Name the actor pictured and his role and what award he won for his acting, if any.

Hint: The television sit-com starring Bob Crane, was loosely based off of it.

Correctomundo!!! Stalag 17 starring Willian Holden as J.J. Sefton, Otto Preminger as Colonel von Scherbach, Sig Ruman as Feldwebel Schulz. William Holden won an Oscar for his performance and the T.V. series Hogan's Heroes is loosely based off of this film.
