''Objective Burma'' has arguably the best Jump sequence done for decades. they go out fast instead of the usual Hollywood 20 seconds between jumpers.Mark in Cleveland, Tn. wrote: ↑26 May 2022, 01:14Oh YEAH!!!! I recalled this scene just enough to reply..will pass my turn until this weekend, when TCM are showing a massive war themed lineup of flicks, from the biggies such as The Great Escape,Battleground,Bridge on River Kwai,The Dirty Dozen,to submarine flicks to those WW2 basically propaganda movies to Sgt York!!...they even have those John Wayne war flicks(semi yuk! Operation Burma,(a good one from Errol Flynn) to weirdness in between of all eras, but not any Vietnam era ones I think..
and this scene is classic-

As for John Wayne ''Semi Yuck''
''They were Expendable'' & ''Sands of Iwo Jima" were pretty damned good considering the time frame they were made

I would say it's from Prisoners of War aka My Way (2011), inspired by the true story of Yang Kyoungjong, who served in the japanese army, the soviet red army and in the Wehrmacht.

What I've seen from South Korean productions in recent years is complete nonsense.Define "a nonsense movie".
Instead of dealing with the Japanese tyranny, they only produce nonsense "popcorn" movies.
Just name me one decent movie..?
A sign of the times...
