Great link, i placed it in my favorites but I was forget that I did that.

I like Mon Gars, the song in the beginning when they're are in a jazzclub?

Also a good song is Rina Ketty - J'attendrai, but that song is not at the soundtrack.
In the movie it is played in the U-boat, i believe it was the captain who liked that song

thanks for the link by the way :)

Actually that German version of the soundtrack had 30 tracks. I had a neat rendition of the Erzherzog Albrecht Marsch and added that to my copy of the sound track as track31. Sounds just like the one in the movie, but for some reason wasn't included in the CD.

In the original German version of the movie, there's no music before the "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" scene (they're just listening to a Göring speech on the radio). In the English version, played on the radio was a German Schlager song (unknown to me), followed by the "England-Fanfare" - and that's the tune you're looking for.

There's no "O, du schöner Westerwald" in the original German version of the movie. There's "U-Boot-Lied" (Zieh dir das Lederpäckchen an...).

Yes, it's an Austro-Hungarian march composed by Karl Komzák II in late XIX century.

Cheers,

Hi Michael

I've got a vinyl copy, if you're stuck let me know and I'll try to digitise it on the pc (I've got an interface that lets you do this). Never seen it on CD, altho someone's bootlegged Cross of Iron at some point.
