I'm not exactly sure what country we're in. Could be Belgium, Luxembourg, France, or even Germany. I don't know what day it is. I have no watch, so I don't know what time it is. I'm not even sure of my name. The next thing you know, they'll be making me a general.

i thought that this movie might be applicable.............being holiday season and all

It's "A MIDNIGHT CLEAR" I think - a 1992 movie starring Ethan Hawke and Gary Sinise.

"Look! We're not worried about the German army, we've got enough troubles of our own. To the right General Patton, to the left the British Army, to the rear our own goddamn artillery, and besides all that it's raining. And the only good thing to say about the weather: it keeps our air corps from blowing us all to Hell because its too lousy to fly, versteh?"

Yeah, you are right Stormbird, it is definitely "KELLY'S HEROES" - if I remember rightly either Telly Savalas or Donald Sutherland says this line.

It is your turn now my friend :)

I understand how you feel. A German officer would shoot himself in a situation like this. But you're sort of a........... different army, aren't you?

"Dark Blue World" - a wonderful little movie which reminded me of "Pearl Harbor"

I love romantic movies :D
