I could purchase now a copy of "Österreichisches Adelslexikon 1804 - 1918" from Peter Frank-Döfering. Sonnewend is listet there just as owner of MMTO but NOT as ennobled. This should clear it up at all.

Franz Kern's only son became a pilot and was killed in World War Two. Does anyone have any information on him? Any photos?

Franz Kern died on 11.12.1937, shortly before midnight, in Wien-Landstraße (i. e. the 3rd District of Vienna) in the police hospital (today Krankenanstalt Rudolfstiftung) of an hemorrhagic stroke. It may, or may not, be related to a "war illness" or alcoholism – it has many different etiologies. It was reported, however (e. g. Tiroler Anzeiger vom 14.12.1937), that he had been in poor health one year before he died "as a result of the heavy, uninterrupted field service". Here it is mentioned that he was also suffering from an year-long eye ailment, which was war-related.

Dear Frech, I am looking for a Bericht von Friedrich Johann Latscher-Lauendorf (Viyana, 30 Ağustos 1884, † Klagenfurt / Kärnten 26 Kasım 1964 ) wko was a sfaff officer of von Kress at Palestina. He wrote a Bericht before Gazze battle about the worse situation. This bericht I can not find in Turkey. could you find for me in Austria.
