Army Groups

Does anyone know the difference between Heeresgruppe and Armeegruppe? Both words appear to translate into English as "Army Group".

In August 1916, Armeegruppe Marwitz was part of Heeresgruppe Linsingen according to the order of battle. Does this simply reflect a command hierarchy without any special distinction between Heeresgroup and Armeegroup?

It seems kind of strange to write "Army Group Marwitz, part of Army Group Linsingen".

Armeegruppe was a group of an Army size (eg. 1-2 corps + 1-3 divisions)
Heeresgruppe was a group of more than an Army size (eg. 1-3 Armies + 1-3 corps)

Armeegruppe Marwitz seemed to be translated to English as Group Marwitz.
