Hello,

I am looking for any useful details about Oberst Wilhelm Wannisch. All what I know so far is that such a man existed, reached the rank of FML, published a small publication titled "Oesterreich-ungarn nach dem Kriege: Mahnungen und Wünsche eines alten aus den Bergen" in 1917, started his career as Unterlieut. in IR.4 and assumed command of IR 87 in 1885. I would particularly like to know which years he was in command of IR 87.

Glenn, this is absolutely fantastic!!! Big thanks! 8O  Actually in regard with this I would like to ask you another question, but for this please look your private mail (PM).

Returning back to Wannisch do you perhaps have the same kind of biography also for Oberst Theodor (von) Gabriel who later became MilKmdt. Innsbruck and as well commanded IR 87 in 1910-1911. At least I presume we are talking here about one and the same man.
