Which kind of a-h reward meens a 'key'?

Hi,

a "key" means that the owner was k.k. Kammerherr oder Kämmerer. A higher ranking nobleman doing duties on court. But most of them were just honorary awarded. You could recognize them by wearing a golden key on their backside.

The English term is "chamberlain". In Polish I think you would use podkomorzy, szambelan or kamerdyner, with szambelan being an English loan word and kamerdyner from the German "Kammerdiener".

Hermann Eccher ab Echo und Marienberg was the brother of my great granmother, he was Major General of Austrian Regiment since 1915 and Chamberlain of Austria, I attach his photo.
