In visiting a out of town library I found a old book "Kingdom of Serbia Austro-Hungarian Atrocities Report" by Rodolphe A Reiss written in 1915 which details k.u.k. Armee atrocities commited in Serbia in 1914. It is in archive.org for those who want to read it. For more information see on youtube Krieg der Bilder or read the book A Mad Catastrophe. warning graphic pictures.

For more info see the book "The Surection and Collapse of Empire in Habsburg Serbia 1914-1918" John E Cumz which is a fine book on the Austrian occupation of Serbia in WW I. It points out while the KUK Armee did behave badly at times they did not go overboard so to speak.

Not so much on the criminal aspect, but Bosnian Serb Gojkomir Glogovac was a very fair-tempered Officer who got punished by his superiors for allowing his troops breaks and leave. He once got "detention" after allowing his men to exercise indoors on a hot summer day,
