Kapellmeister

Gentlemen,

Is there any way to find out which Kapellmeister belonged to which Regiment / battalion during the war years 1914 - 1918? I have recently seen a somef photos of Kappelmeister with KTK's as well as other awards. Example attached.

Ian,

that may well be a tough call. The "Militär-Musik-Adreßbuch für das Deutsche Reich" 1909 has an appendix listing the A-H Infantry Kapellmeister of that year including the Honvéd. The 1905 and especially disappointing, the 1913 edition does not. Below, Infantry regiments 1 to 12 in 1909.
