Tit FML Matthias Mattyasovszky von Alsó-Mátyásfalva

Hi,

This is the last of my mystery photos and I am hoping (needle in a hay stack questions), but could this photo be of Matthias Freiherr Mattyasovszky von Alsó-Mátyásfalva (27 Dec 1858 – 09 Jan 1921). MVK.3(KD), 1873 Kriegsmedaille, BMVM, Jubille medal....last one is difficult to make out, but could be an Officers decoration 3rd class.

If not, then any ideas will be gratefully excepted and investigated.

Regards,
Ian

The 4th class of the Serbian Order of Takovo awarded to him in 1895 (as captain).

Thank you for the update on his awards. Very much appreciated.
He was promoted to Titular Feldmarschalleutnant in Feb 1916. Do you know if he held any position during then war?

He retired in 1912, for his own request for health reasons. He didn't held any position after that.

He was born in Kende (today Kendice, Slovakia), and died in Pozsony (today Bratislava, Slovakia), and buried there (according his funeral notice, just temporarly).
