I am after information on the death of Oberst Friedrich Tobis. I believe he was killed/died (natural causes?) 20 February 1916.
What I would like to know where was he when he died? What function was he fulfilling (if any) and if at all possible his place of birth (12 November 1860?).
Ian
Death of Oberst Friedrich Tobis
Re: Death of Oberst Friedrich Tobis
According to his obituary he died "after long severe illness". He was a commander of IR 33.
Service was held at the Chapel of Garnisonsspital Nr.1 - Wien. Burial at the family's grave in Preßburg.
Dates match those from the grave at St. Andrew's Cemetery in Bratislava.
